Provider of Award-Winning Compliance and Security Solutions Recognized for Leading-Edge Technology and Dedication to the Channel
Jersey City, NJ July 1, 2008 Xceedium, a premier provider of entitlement management solutions that control high-risk users, today announced it has been selected by Everything Channel as a CRN Emerging Tech Vendor for its GateKeeper™ appliance. CRN's Emerging Tech list awards vendors that are delivering high margins for channel solution providers by providing market leading technology that complements the products of industry leaders.
Xceedium has been honored as a CRN Emerging Tech Vendor based on its award winning channel program. Xceedium helps partners grow their compliance and security practices with innovative technology that targets the fast growing market to protect critical infrastructure from insider attacks from internal and external high-risk users, such as vendors, administrators, application developers and partners. Industry experts recently reported that 86 percent of insider attacks were instigated by either previously or currently employed full-time employees in a technical position within the organization. This risk is compounded by the fact that over 60 percent of companies use some form of outsourcing for these tasks.
The Xceedium GateKeeper is a hardened appliance that centralizes and extends user control beyond the application layer to all critical IT resources, enabling enforcement of policy, monitoring and logging of all user events and comprehensive reporting for infrastructure managers and auditors. Enterprise and government clients rely on the Xceedium GateKeeper to balance compliance requirements with the need for operational efficiency.
The Xceedium Xcelerate Partner Program enables its channel partners to grow their security portfolios, enhance revenue from services and meet the demands of this high-growth market. The program includes multiple sales, technical and marketing benefits, including dedicated technical support, access to an exclusive partner portal, opportunity registration, field support and joint marketing opportunities. Further, it enables partners to quickly tap into the financial, utility, manufacturing and government markets with comprehensive solutions.
"We are honored to receive this exclusive recognition of both our innovative security and compliance solutions as well as our commitment to providing our partners with the training, support and incentives they need to drive greater business success," said David Ballard, vice president of sales at Xceedium. "Our partner relationships help us support the growing demand for, and adoption of, our technology and to be recognized in this way by CRN is especially meaningful."
According to the CRN Emerging Tech Survey, the top reasons that solution providers add emerging technologies to their portfolio include: the technology is superior to other products in the market segment; the technology compliments a solution providersÕ existing practice areas; emerging vendors provide better services opportunities; emerging vendors pay better attention to partners; emerging vendors offer higher margins; customers want alternative product choices; and emerging vendors have better joint marketing programs. In addition, 61 percent of solutions providers surveyed plan to increase the number of emerging technology vendors they partner with in the next 12 months.
"New and innovative vendor partners can help spur profitable new ideas that solution providers can use to build revenue and customer loyalty, and the CRN Emerging Tech list is where solution providers go to find these vendors," said Robert C. Demarzo, senior vice president and editorial director at Everything Channel.
Vendors who make the CRN Emerging Tech list must have an established solution provider program and formal guidelines for recruiting channel partners. They must demonstrate that its direct sales mix is trending down as evidenced by the companyÕs revenue history, a channel positive or channel neutral strategy for internal sales compensation, and not be a dominant market share player. Final selection to the Emerging Technology list was made at the discretion of the CRN editorial team after a review of the submitted information and conversations with current or targeted partners.
