Joshua S. Levine Joins Xceedium's Board of Directors

Award-Winning Technology Veteran Brings Leadership Experience from the World's Largest Companies

Jersey City, NJ – June 5, 2006 – Xceedium, a company that provides centralized, secure IT operations management, announced today that it has appointed technology industry veteran Joshua S. Levine to its Board of Directors. Levine brings more than 20 years of leadership experience at some of the world's largest corporations, and has overseen major global business initiatives.

Most recently, Levine held the title of chief technology and operations officer at E*Trade, a $1.7 billion company and the world's largest online financial services institution. In that position, he managed 1,800 people and ran the $350 million Global Customer Operations, which included Brokerage, Banking and Lending Operations organizations. Prior to that, Levine held a variety of positions at E*Trade. He served as the Managing Director in charge of the company's European business operations in the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, as well as business in offices outside of Europe such as Israel and South Africa. Levine brought the European business from a loss of $60 million in 2001 to breakeven in 2002 and profitability in 2003. In 2004 and 2005, Europe had the highest growth rate of all the company's businesses.

Before joining E*Trade, Levine worked at Deutsche Bank where he was the managing director and global head of Equity Technology. At Deutsche Bank, he successfully integrated two of the company's major acquisitions, Bankers Trust and NatWest Markets, and oversaw the Equity Sales and Trading, Equity Finance and Equity Derivatives departments. Levine also served as managing director at Morgan Stanley where he produced the Japan and US market trading systems, risk management systems and proprietary market data platforms.

"In Xceedium's position as a technology startup, the company needed leaders that balance a thorough understanding of technology with a superb vision of where the company fits into the global marketplace,” said Cheryl Traverse, CEO, Xceedium. “Josh knows first-hand the need for secure, centralized IT management of geographically distributed data centers. His sterling reputation among leaders of companies that can benefit from Xceedium's technology will help the company drive new business opportunities."

Levine has accumulated many prestigious awards and honors in his career. His team at E*Trade earned a 2005 American Business Award, a.k.a the “Stevie.” He was twice named one of the InfoWorld 100 (2004 and 2005), tabbed three times as one of the InformationWeek 500 (2002-2004) and earned CIO 100 honors in 2000 and 2003. In addition, CIO Forum placed Levine in its list of “Top 20 Financial IT Executives” in 2002 and 2003, plus he was one of InfoWorld's “Top 25 Most Influential CTOs” for 2001.

“As someone who has conceived of, and executed, the biggest IT projects for some of the most influential companies in the world, I have experienced the need for the solutions that Xceedium is bringing to the marketplace,” said Levine. “The company's management team has the business acumen and marketing savvy to get these products into the hands of the companies that need them, which is why I am confident it will find success.”
