Principal Quality Engineer, Jersey City, NJ
Xceedium is seeking a top notch principal quality engineer who will contribute to the ongoing design and development of the GateKeeper product.
This position is for a hands-on Quality Engineering lead role with a primary focus on project planning and hardware and software procurement. This position will lead the test team in their qualification efforts; focusing on formal integration, functional, and system testing work for all QA qualification efforts with the companies various releases.
The ideal candidate will have managed quality in a rapidly evolving product with quickly shifting priorities. They will have broad and deep technical knowledge and experience, particularly with automation frameworks, and security. Strong knowledge of internet protocols as well as an in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows is essential..
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related
- Experience with customer-facing roles in both pre-sales and post-sales environments
- Experience leading a team of test engineers with both major releases and point patches
- Experience with the configuration of test lab infrastructure and equipment procurement
- Experience supporting Radius, LDAP, RSA, and PKI-CAC users running multiple flavors of Windows, UNIX, and Linux
- Expert knowledge of automation tools including QuickTest Pro (Mercury), Perl, VB or VBScript programming experience
- Experience in performing software test automation in LAN/WAN and client/server environments
- Expert knowledge of systems administration and/or networking protocols such as SMTP, FTP, TCP, and NTP
- Expert knowledge of protocols and methodologies related to "tunneling," such as SSH, VPN, and SSL
- Understanding of QA processes, approaches, methodologies, and software development lifecycle, and ability to apply knowledge into daily operation
- Ability in providing root-cause analysis of issues, resolving testing issues, and driving issues to closure
- Experience in designing, planning, and implementing comprehensive manual and automated software test system efforts
- Four (4) years of experience
Software Engineer, Jersey City, NJ
Xceedium is seeking a a top notch software engineer who will contribute to the ongoing design and development of the GateKeeper.
The ideal candidate will have delivered high quality technology products or services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. He or she will have broad and deep technical knowledge, including OO design and implementation experience (particularly in C++), experience with public key cryptography using OpenSSL, strong knowledge of internet protocols, and an in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and architecture.
Required Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of C and C++
- Expert knowledge of network programming using the TCP/IP stack
- Expert knowledge of Public Key Cryptography using OpenSSL
- Excellent debugging skills 4+ years of technology experience in network security
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Ability to write clean, understandable, quality code
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with multiple programming languages and paradigms
